Zorya Head Coach Congratulates Leicester City After 3-0 Defeat

Zorya Luhansk head coach Viktor Skrypnyk has congratulated Leicester City after the Premier League side hit three past the Ukrainian outfit in the Europa League group stage game on Thursday.

The Foxes ran riot at home thanks to goals from James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho.

Skrypnyk believes his men played their heart out against a good opponent and they should not be ashamed of themselves as there are five more matches to be played in the group.

"I would like to congratulate our opponents on their win. Our guys played a decent game and we have nothing to feel ashamed about,” the Ukrainian coach told reporters after the game.

"We have another five games to play and we are hoping to put some points on the board. This kind of game is a good experience for us."

Leicester City head coach Brendan Rodgers commended his men for seeing off the Ukrainians but insists Leicester City can still improve.

"It was a very good win, it's nice to get the points on the board and a clean sheet. We had to work hard, there's areas where we can get better,” the former Liverpool and Celtic manager said.

"They play a diamond and it's a system where they can hurt you on the inside. When they had the ball they were a threat but we killed the game in the second half.

"The players deserve a huge amount of credit. They can be better, we need more movement at the top end of the pitch because we could have got in more."
